Coach Jim Huber
Jim Huber brings over 30 years of coaching experience to the world of youth and competitive sports, with a proven track record of developing elite players both on and off the court. His coaching journey, inspired by his father’s passion for the game, spans youth, high school, collegiate, and even professional levels. Jim’s extensive experience includes guiding players to compete at top-tier programs like Duke and Kentucky, and seeing many of his athletes reach the NBA.
Beyond the accolades and championships—including 45 titles and multiple Final Four appearances—what sets Coach Huber apart is his commitment to holistic player development. His coaching philosophy goes beyond just winning games; he focuses on developing leaders and building character. Jim’s passion for mentorship and his ability to foster personal growth in his athletes is what makes his approach to coaching truly unique.
Jim led his team to a 1st place finish at the 2013 Nike Global Challenge, further solidifying his reputation for coaching at the highest level. His leadership helped MOKAN grow into one of the premier youth basketball programs in the country, impacting not just high school athletes but young players as early as third grade.
Jim's influence extends beyond the court. As co-founder of 4D Leaders and a Director at Breakthrough Basketball, he has developed programs that blend athletic excellence with life skills and leadership training. Under his direction, Breakthrough Basketball has expanded to conduct over 400 camps annually, impacting more than 17,000 athletes each year. His popular training systems, including The Youth Coaching System and Man to Man Defense, are a testament to his dedication to helping coaches at all levels succeed.
Coach Huber’s vision is simple: equip coaches with the tools to not only develop skilled athletes but also foster resilient, well-rounded individuals. His approach resonates with coaches who seek to make a deeper impact—both in the game and in the lives of their players.
